Thanks Udy! The music pours from my soul through my fingers. However, many years of training and hard work went into developing my technique. The more skillful technique that one develops, the more expression can be utilized on the instrument in most cases.

What does the guitar mean to you?
It means a tremendous amount to me, both physical and spiritual. When I was a child, I was exposed to some of the greatest musicians in the world, that being orchestral performers, and classical masterpieces. Even so young, I developed a tremendous appreciation for music and for the instruments that the music was played on. The guitar has become an extension of that love and a part of who I literally am. I could not imagine a world for me with no guitar in it. I believe the guitar has a mystique and power that is all it's own.
A gitár, egyaránt jelent, mint spirituális, mint fizikai utakat. Amikor gyerek voltam, a világ legnagyobb zenészit hallgattam. Zenekari művekkel, klasszikus mesterművekkel ismerkedtem. Mégis már egész fiatalon kialakult bennem egy határtalan tisztelet a zene, és a hangszer iránt. A gitár a szó szoros értelmében a szerelemmé válik, és megmutatja valójában ki is vagyok én. Minden, ami szellemet és erőt ad nekem annak a gitár az eszköze. Nem tudnám elképzelni az életem nélküle.
Do I feel well, that your play is devoid from other players’ style. In contrast to your music is full of classical effect. What is your opinion about this?
Certainly, my early inspiration comes through in my music, but also as a creative persona, I appreciate a more layered and richly woven tapestry of sound than just the guitar players cliche pentatonics, although they definitely have their place as well, but I do strive to sound as unique as possible.
Természetesen a korai inspirációim megjelent a zenémben, de én alkotó ember vagyok, de értékelem azt a környezetet is, amit a zenei klisék szőnek a gitározás köré. Ebben a körynezetben viszont nem lehet tovább lépni, így én arra törekszem, hogy minél egyedibb legyen a játékom.
Uncontoverted, you have a perfect style. What do you thing where you want to get? What is your plan in the present, or in the future?
Thank you Udy. Well, my plans are to reach as many people's hearts, souls, and ears as I can, and inspire them to be the best they can at whatever they do. That will be my contribution to the world, I want to help others. I'm just getting ready for the world wide digital release of my new single, "The Legend", to promote my CD "Stormbringer" which releases this spring, all available on itunes. THE LEGEND is a triumphant ride through soaring polyphonic melodies mixed with intense bursts of the highest level of technical virtuosoity, all while keeping you grounded with a great driving rhythm and cutting synths and piano harmonies.

Adverting to your guitars. Could you say about your instruments? What is the major alter on your guitars?
I have several beautiful guitars, but the one I wish to elaborate on is my custom signature series prototype 7 string, Stormbringer. It's handcrafted from rare Hondurian mahogany, all one piece. Stormbringer is equipped with Kahler 2227 zero gravity bridge and is loaded with Seymour Duncan blackout pickups. It has a beautiful unique tribal design inlays in the neck that are made from black mother of pearl. The body is a modified strat with a slightly smaller radius and is very thin to make it light but extremely well balanced. I designed this guitar for eventual market distribution as a signature series instrument. The creator of this incredible guitar is a man named Russell Lintz, he is a master luthier with unprecedented skills of the highest order. I am very fortunate to have worked with him on the creation of Stormbringer. It's a masterpiece.

Eric, your sound is admirable! How did you find your sound?
At the moment that's a bit of a secret Udy, (laughs) but I've experimented a great deal to get my sound.

What about amps?
I use a Mesa Boogie Mark IV with 2 4X12 vintage 30 cabinets. It's a tremendous live amp, but I actually record most of my work digitally through an interface.

Once we talking about amps, comming pedals?
Well Udy, I've never been much into processing. I find it can make your sound a little sterile, but I do use a small amount such as delay, reverb, and of course gain. I do utilize a Sonic maximizer for live use as well as a noise gate, but I don't get my sound from a rack if you know what I mean.

Eric, do you play in a band?
Yes, I have my own live touring band, they are phenomenal musicians. I'm also very fortunate to be working with them, especially rhthym/lead guitarist Brian Crangle. He's also an emeerging cutting edge guitar player that has a very refreshing and articulate style.

Could you suggest hungarian fans how we start or advence in the difficult world of guitar music?
First, make sure you have a good guitar to start with. It makes a big difference playing on a good instrument as opposed to one that is not. Also, make sure to get a good amp or practice amp, which will make a big difference in your sound as well. You must always be diligent and persevere with your practicing to become greater than you are. Proper practicing entails much passion and determination and a great deal of the time, use a form of metronome or drum beats, drum machine etc. because great timing is crucial in becoming a great musician.
Talán azzal kezdeném, hogy legyen a jó gitárod először is. Igen nagy különbségek lehetnek a kezdő gitárosoknál, ha nem megfelelő hangszeren kezdenek játszani. Nyilvánvaló ehhez megfelelő erősítők, felszerelések kellenek, melyekkel olyan hangokon tudsz fejlődni, melyek tetszenek, és nem ábrándítanak ki az egész tanulásból. Kritikus hibákat és nagyon rossz beidegződéseket eredményez, ha nem dob, basszus, metronom ütemekre gitározunk. Elengedhetetlennek tartom.
